SCHIP Program Enrollment: December 2003 Update - A national evaluation of enrollment in State Children's
Health Insurance Programs indicates that Louisiana was
among the top 10 states in reducing the number of
unenrolled children during 2003. NOTE: On page 9, the
report incorrectly notes that Louisiana had an enrollment
cap in 2003. Louisiana has never had an enrollment cap
for LaCHIP or Medicaid.

2003 Louisiana Health Insurance Survey - The attached results are from survey of 10,000 households,
which was conducted during the Summer of 2003 to determine
the most accurate count to date of the remaining uninsured
children in the state of Louisiana.

Findings from Interviews and Surveys with People Living with Disabilities - The Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) and the
Statewide Independent Living Council(SILC) sought
information on the needs of people living with
disabilities in Louisiana. Interviews were conducted and
survey forms distributed to collect qualitative data and
attempted to allow for an accurate portrayal of the lives
of people with disabilities. The results appear in this
report.
