The State of Louisiana Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to assist and support employees who are experiencing personal problems and may benefit from outside management or professional help. These problems include substance abuse, family, emotional, financial, and other problems that affect job performance, job security, or the health and well-being of the employee.
An employee seeking assistance may contact an EAP representative by choosing a Region/District/Authority from the menu at the right. Information regarding an employee's participation in the Employee Assistance Program will not be placed in the employee's personnel file or released without the employee's written consent. Participation in this program will not jeopardize an employee's position or future job opportunities.
The Employee Assistance Program is available to all state employees. The services provided by the members of the Employee Assistance Committee are free of charge. If an employee is referred for treatment, he/she will need to contact their health insurance carrier to determine insurance coverage. If necessary, an Employee Assistance Committee member will help clarify any insurance coverage questions that may arise.
Again, an Employee Assistance representative can be located/contacted by choosing a Region/Administrative District/Administrative Authority from the menu on the right side of this page. The Parishes served by those Regions/Districts/Authorities will be listed as well.
