Services Offered:

Halfway House Services to Adult Men and to Adult Women and their Dependent Children
Purpose:  Provides a community-based halfway house rehabilitation program for up to 25 recovering males through Bridgehouse. Phase II.  Serves 26 recovery female substance abusers age 17 and older, as well as their dependent children under the age of 12. This provider provides services to Vocational Rehabilitation eligible and non-eligible client primarily from Region VI. Services to be provided include: individual and group counseling; vocational and educational counseling and/or referral; assistance with job placement; room and board; urine screening; involvement in community-based support groups of Alcoholic and Narcotics Anonymous. The maximum length of stay for clients in the halfway houses is 90 days.

Coming to Alexandria from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette Bunkie, Cheneyville, Lacompte:  Take I-49 North Through Alexandria and exit right at the Macarthur Dr. exit (exit 86). Take 165 North, cross the O.K. Allen Bridge into Pineville, and take a right at the traffic signal at Buhlow Lake and Central Louisiana State Hospital. Cenla Halfway Houses for Men and Women are located in the 2nd  and 3rd buildings on the left respectively.

Coming to Alexandria from Shreveport, Natchitoches, Boyce, etc:  Take I-49 South and exit at the 165 North exit (exit 86 ) Take 165 North, cross the O.K. Allen Bridge into Pineville, and take a right at the traffic signal at Buhlow Lake and Central Louisiana State Hospital. Coming to Pineville from Monroe: Take 165 South and take a left at the traffic signal at Buhlow Lake and Central Louisiana State Hospital. Cenla Halfway Houses for Men and Women are located in the 2nd and 3rd buildings on the left respectively.

Coming from Jena: Take Hwy. 84 to Hwy 8. and then take 165 South to Pineville . Take a right at the traffic signal at Buhlow Lake and Central Louisiana State Hospital. Again Cenla Halfway Houses are located in the 2nd and 3rd buildings on the left..

From Ferriday: Take Hwy. 28 West and when in Pineville turn right onto the Pineville expressway. Take the 165 exit-turn left on 165 South and take a left at the traffic signal at Buhlow Lake and Central Louisiana State Hospital. Cenla Halfway Houses for Men and Women are located in the 2nd and 3rd buildings on the left respectively.

 From Leesville: Take Hwy. 28 East to Alexandria. At MacArthur Dr. take a left and cross the river into Pineville via the O.K. Allen Bridge. From Marksville: Take Hwy. 1 North which becomes 3rd Street in Alexandria. Go to Jackson Street and turn right. Cross the Gillis Long Bridge into Pineville and at the 3rd traffic signal on Main Street turn left on Shamrock Street. Take a left at Rainbow Drive (just before the front gate at Central Hospital) and take a right on the first drive past the red flashing traffic signal. Follow the signs to Cenla Halfway Houses for Men and Women.
