    Services Provided:

    ADU is a 24 bed, female only, chemical dependency inpatient treatment facility located on the grounds of Southeast Louisiana State Hospital. Situated under a canopy of pine trees, it provides a peaceful and tranquil location for the treatment of addictive disorders. 

    Services include:

    • Medical evaluations
    • Psychiatric consultation if needed
    • Individual therapy
    • Family therapy
    • Group therapy
    • Assertiveness training
    • AA/NA/CA meetings
    • Education
    • Relapse prevention
    • 12 step work
    • Referral to outpatient care or halfway house at discharge

     Admission Criteria:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age with primary chemical dependency diagnosis
    • Free of mood altering chemicals - detoxed
    • Referrals should come through the state outpatient clinics or appropriate social / medical detoxification facility.
