Services Provided:
ADU is a 24 bed, female only, chemical dependency inpatient treatment facility located on the grounds of Southeast Louisiana State Hospital. Situated under a canopy of pine trees, it provides a peaceful and tranquil location for the treatment of addictive disorders.
Services include:
- Medical evaluations
- Psychiatric consultation if needed
- Individual therapy
- Family therapy
- Group therapy
- Assertiveness training
- AA/NA/CA meetings
- Education
- Relapse prevention
- 12 step work
- Referral to outpatient care or halfway house at discharge
Admission Criteria:
- Must be at least 18 years of age with primary chemical dependency diagnosis
- Free of mood altering chemicals - detoxed
- Referrals should come through the state outpatient clinics or appropriate social / medical detoxification facility.
