Whether it is helping you with alcohol and drug abuse cases in your regions and community, the CAD Commission members are always willing to encourage and support the awareness and understanding of alcoholism and drug addiction.
The Commission wants to develop ideas and programs that can help increase public awareness, treat adults and youth who need addictive disorders services, prevent the abuse of alcohol and drug addiction as well as compulsive gambling.
The Commission on Addictive Disorders works in conjunction with many entities such as The Governor’s Drug Policy Board , The Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling , The Governors Safe & Drug Free School & Communities, The Louisiana Drug Court Association, The Louisiana Alliance to Prevent Underage Drinking to name a few.
COMMISSION MEMBERS
To implement the goal of the Louisiana CAD, this 13-member body is selected by the Governor of the State and Senate approval. The Commission serves through its Executive Director, the Assistant Secretary of the Office of Behavioral Health.
