Obtaining Results

Secure Remote Viewer

All NBS results are mailed directly to the submitter information provided on the NBS Filter Paper form. In addition, Newborn Screening Results may be obtained either by contacting the infant's hospital of birth or by using the Newborn Screening Secure Remote Viewer (SRV). SRV allows quick access to NBS results information via the web. In order to use this system, NBS submitters must register with the OPH NBS Laboratory or Genetic Disease Program. For further assistance with SRV contact the NBS Lab at 504-219-4695 or the OPH Genetics Program at 504-219-4413.

To register for SRV:

• Submitter must fax Registration Form to the OPH Geneitcs Program at 504-219-4452. A copy of the SRV Registration Form can be downloaded here.
• The OPH Genetics Program will contact the submitter and provide the login information for SRV.
