Louisiana’s Medicaid Purchase Plan is a Medicaid program that offers affordable health coverage to people with disabilities who work.

Am I Eligible?

People who:

• Have a severe disability that matches Social Security's standards
• Work
• Are at least 16 but not yet 65
• Have countable monthly income that is less than $2,394
• Have countable assets that are less than $25,000
• Are willing to take other health insurance coverage that is available at no cost
• Are willing to pay a premium when their countable monthly income is equal to or greater than $1,437

can apply to the Medicaid Purchase Plan to receive health care coverage through Medicaid while remaining at work.
