The St. Bernard Mental Health Clinic provides individual and group counseling , aftercare, appointments, chemotherapy, and a re-socialization program for those adults who meet the target population criteria. Psychiatric, psychological, and psychosocial evaluation are performed after acceptance in the Mental Health Clinic. A part-time outreach program is provided on the east bank of Plaquemines Parish and to the lower section of St. Bernard Parish, services to Plaquemines and St. Bernard prisons on outreach basis.
Suggested referral resources are provided to the applicant who does not meet the state acceptance criteria.
Children's Services are provided at the St. Bernard Mental Health Clinic, but under a separate division. Applicants should call the clinic number and they will be connected to the Children's Unit. Childrens Services can now be reached directly at (504) 278-6592.
