The Ruston Mental Health Clinic provides outpatient mental health services to the residents of Lincoln and Union Parishes. We serve the chronic and persistently mentally ill adults. Services are available to the severely emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youth age 5 and above. The clinic is staffed with Social Workers, Nurses, Psychiatrist, Psychologist and other support staff who provide screenings, evaluations and counseling services. Crisis services are available. Referrals are made for inpatient psychiatric care, as needed. When appropriate, referrals are made to other Agencies providing services to the Office of Mental Health through contractual agreements. Other referrals are made for those persons seeking services who do not meet the target population criteria.
There is a Consumer run Drop-In Center available in Ruston for mental health consumers. An outreach medication clinic is available, for established clients, in Farmerville twice a month. Fees for our services are based on income, family size, etc. Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance are accepted and billed.

Contracted Services vary in availability throughout the region. Examples of programs include: supported housing, employment, transitional living, residential, respite services, consumer care resources, transportation, case management, intensive outpatient, crisis services for children, Crisis Intervention Training program and others. Southbound Hwy 167 (Trenton Street) through town. Turn left at the Ruston MHC sign just after the split highway comes back together onto Mill Street. Turn right on White Street and the clinic is immediately on the left.
Eastbound on I-20. Take exit 85 to Hwy 167 South (Trenton Street). Turn right and proceed through town. Turn left at the Ruston MHC sign just after the split highway comes back together onto Mill Street. Turn right on White Street and the clinic is immediately on the left.
Westbound on I-20. Take exit 85 to Hwy 167 South. At the stop sign continue straight ahead to the traffic light and turn left onto Hwy 167 South (Trenton Street) and proceed through town. Turn left at the Ruston MHC sign just after the split highway comes back together onto Mill Street. Turn right on White Street and the clinic is immediately on the left.
