The Lake Charles Mental Health Clinic provides screening and referral services to all persons within the catchment area of the following parishes: Calcasieu, Cameron and Jeff Davis. All persons are served without regard to race, creed, color, sex, nationality, political belief, disability, sexual preference, or ability to pay. Normal office hours for screening/referral are from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. In case of emergency these hours are extended to 4:30 PM.
All requests for services are received by the Assessment and Referral Unit staff, who determine the appropriate disposition based upon the nature of the request and the availability of services indicated. Admission to the Clinic shall be determined in accordance with the established priority levels and with the Admitting Criteria specified in each level.

From the North (DeRidder, Shreveport, etc., via Highway 171): Take the I-10 East ramp from Highway 171/Martin Luther King Blvd. and proceed on I-10 to the next exit, which is the I-210 bypass. Proceed on I-210 for approximately 6 miles to the Kirkman St./Enterprise Blvd. exit ramp. Stay in the left lane of the ramp, turn left at the stoplight on to Enterprise Blvd. and go under the I-210 overpass. Continue on Enterprise Blvd. for approximately 1 mile to Walters St. (on the right) which is marked by a blue and white hospital sign (H). Turn right on Walters, proceed 1 block to Kirkman St. Turn left onto Kirkman St., the parking lot is the next driveway on the left.
From the South (Cameron, Creole, etc., via the Gulf Highway): Turn right at the first major intersection of Gulf Highway/Common St. onto McNeese St. Proceed 1 block to Kirkman St., turn left. Proceed for several blocks, across a coulee; turn right into facility parking lot.
From the East (Baton Rouge, Lafayette, etc., via I-10): Take the first Lake Charles exit off I-10 which is the I-210 bypass. Proceed for approximately 6 miles to the Kirkman St./Enterprise Blvd. exit ramp. Stay in the left lane of the ramp, turn left at the stoplight onto Enterprise Blvd. and go under the I-210 overpass. Continue on Enterprise Blvd. for approximately 1 mile to Walters St. (on the right) which is marked by a blue and white hospital sign (H). From the West: (Beaumont, Vinton, Sulphur, etc., via I-10): Take the I-210 bypass (first Lake Charles exit), and proceed south and east. Take the Kirkman St./Enterprise Blvd. exit, then veer right to the Kirkman intersection. Turn left on Kirkman and proceed for approximately 1 mile. The facility is immediately west of Moss Regional Hospital, and the parking lot is the first entrance on the left after passing Walters St. on the left.
