Chartres-Pontchartrain Mental Health Clinic provides out-patient services to adults and children living below Canal St. (except for the Desire/Florida area). Services are provided to individuals who are homicidal, suicidal or gravely disabled and/or have a diagnosis of serious mental illness.
To apply: Call 942-8101 to request services for adults or 942-8123 to request services for children/adolescents; the Intake Counselor will obtain pertinent information and schedule an appointment; services are also provided on a walk-in basis. Adults seeking services must make their own appointment unless the applicant is unable to call due to the severity of their emotional disability. In such cases a family member, or significant person may make the appointment and should accompany the person for the initial visit.
